Sacsayhuamán – Was It Built By ‘Demons’ Or Viracocha The Bearded God?

A. Sutherland - AncientPages.com - Thousands of years ago, our ancestors lifted stones that our gigantic modern machinery could hardly move and put in place.

Did they have the superhuman strength of giants, or did they have lifting means unknown to us? Had they found a way to defeat gravity?

One of the most impressive and mysterious fortresses of the Andes is Sacsayhuamán, located on the outskirts of the ancient Inca capital city of Cuzco.

This remarkable stonework built by the pre-industrial Inca, rests on an artificially leveled mountaintop at an altitude of 12,000 feet (!) and consists of three-tiered walls, 1,500 feet long and 54-feet wide.

The question of how the stones of Sacsayhuamán were transported - still remains unanswered.
