Sailing With The Phoenicians: Great Traders, Sailors And Navigators

In this interesting ancient history documentary we are sailing together with the Phoenicians and view the world through their eyes.

These people were a great maritime people, known for their mighty ships and great experience as sea traders, traveling across the Mediterranean Sea, and as far north as Britain.

The Mediterranean Sea  during the 5th century BC  was a great commercial network created by the Phoenicians.

In hundreds of archaeological sites scattered around the Mediterranean, ancient objects are often found that are completely extraneous to local civilizations and cultures.

An Egyptian amulet, a Greek vase in Africa and a huge number of goods moving from one country to another had to be transported in some sorts of systematic way.

This special way of transportation was created by the Phoenicians.
