Mystery Of Hizir – One Of The Most Enigmatic And Extraordinary Ancient People
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - Hızır is one of the most enigmatic and extraordinary personalities of the ancient world.
Although we can encounter him in many parts of the world at different time frames, his true origins remain obscure.
Hızır which means Green Man in Arabic, has been tied to early Middle Eastern legends of spring, the renewal of warm weather among the Mesopotamians and the Egyptians. There is no real explanation as to why he is called the Green Man.
Although the identity of Hızır the place in which he resided and the time he lived are not certain, one widespread belief suggests that Hızır was a prophet or a holy person, but certain aspects of his life are more than unusual.
