Ancient Mediterranean Mystery In The Himalayas Puzzles Archaeologists – Can DNA Or Legends Solve The Riddle?
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - There remains a significant amount of unknown information about our ancient past, but new studies are gradually helping to solve some of these enigmas. Despite this progress, certain long-standing mysteries continue to elude us.
Researchers made an intriguing discovery in a recent examination of ancient DNA that initially seemed puzzling. Nevertheless, the study's results are unequivocal. One such mystery involves a group of Europeans who traveled to the Himalayas in the distant past and never returned. Scientists have yet to determine why they undertook this journey or what happened to them.
DNA analysis has identified these Europeans from the Mediterranean regions; however, their purpose for visiting this remote region remains unclear. Local legends offer a mysterious and unsettling story for their fate, but scientific evidence is still needed to shed more light on this historical puzzle.
