Ancient Secrets Of The Amazon Jungle – The Man Who Stepped Into The Unknown Searching For The Lost City Of The Gods – Part 2
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - In part 1 of this series we discussed dangerous expeditions to the Amazon Jungle and explorers who brought back remarkable stories about hidden ancient ruins and astonishing artifacts.
Modern satellite technology has helped scientists to unravel some of the ancient mysteries of the Jungle. Archaeologists are relying more and more on jungle-penetrating Lidar (light detection and ranging) technology because it offers a good opportunity to uncover ancient structures obscured by inaccessible forest.
Long before high-tech images could be obtained, a curious explorer decided to investigate the Amazon Jungle and search for the lost ancient city many had told about.
His journey was dangerous and what really happened to him is unknown. Some think he didn’t return because he died while exploring unknown realms of the Jungle. Others suggest he decided not to come back to the society. Whatever the truth may be, he definitely stepped into the unknown and his story is fascinating.
