Alexander The Great’s Mysterious And Unexplained Encounter In Babylon
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - It goes without saying that a man like Alexander the great who traveled to many foreign lands must have seen fascinating places and met extraordinary people. It is also evident Aristotle’s education of Alexander the Great influenced the ancient Macedonian ruler perhaps even more than he realized himself, even though he most likely did not follow the path the philosopher pointed out to him. Nevertheless, it was from the great ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, Alexander the Great gained an insight into the deepest secrets of life and nature.
Alexander the Great’s history has been well-documented. We are familiar with his military accomplishments as well as some failures. Few can deny he was a courageous warrior. However, there are other aspects of his puzzling personality that still remain shrouded in mystery.
Alexander the Great was a brave warrior on the battlefield, but as a human being, he had certain fears he could not overcome. Those fears led him on a quest to find one of the most precious treasures a man can discover. Most would say what Alexander the Great was looking for can never be found, but the ancient Macedonian king was persistent. We know Alexander the Great died in Babylon in 323 B.C. It was also in this ancient city Alexander the Great had an unexplained encounter that few historians discuss. What did Alexander the Great really witness in Babylon and how did the mysterious sighting and encounter shape his life? What was the ancient treasure he desperately searched for?
